Values
Christine and Olivier Baud — The values that drive us
Christine is deeply devoted to social causes, in a quiet mountain setting... and so the founding ideas take shape: the birth of the "Les Chryolles" project
Our Core Values
"Les Chryolles" was created by the Baud family with the purpose and values below, which we wish to pass on to our descendants and share with our friends:
Preserve nature...
Preserve nature, quiet, and the environment
no road, no car, just trees and quiet
Openness to others... openness to those who cannot otherwise enjoy the mountains
Openness to those who cannot otherwise enjoy the mountains
allowing people in need to enjoy the mountains free of charge
A shared life...
A shared life while preserving a minimum of individual independence
the hamlet is not a place for individualists, but one that encourages exchange and the pleasure of meeting others
Respect for others...
Respect for others in their differences
regardless of generation, social background, religion, and so on
Protect simplicity...
Protect simplicity as much as possible
no ostentatious display of wealth, no commerce, a direct bond with nature
No personal profit...
Avoid any personal financial profit: no family member may benefit financially from this project
a non-profit activity; resale is forbidden
A Unique Family Company
A Non-Profit Principle
The Baud family gives up its inheritance in Energy Pool and retains only the rights of use to "Les Chryolles"... which can never become a source of income or the proceeds of a resale.
The only possible way out: donating the project to Emmaüs
A Truly Family Company
where everyone pays,
family included
Our Social Mission
A project built on solid values, meant to serve social causes and to last
Rentals
To cover payroll costs and generate a surplus for the social mission
Family and friends
Everyone pays, founders included
Social mission
For people who can never afford the mountains and who truly need them
