Full activity before the exodus
6 farms make up the hamlet, linked by paths used for travel and work, with terraced fields.
40 to 50 residents live here year-round with herds of cows and sheep. Terraced plots are used to grow rye and potatoes.
Traditional way of life: paths link the farms and hamlets together, with food self-sufficiency provided by the surrounding terraced crops, cows, sheep and pigs.
The summer move to the alpine pastures with the young people and the herds - the high point of a traditional alpine way of life.

The people of Anchical lived by age-old Maurienne traditions: communal work, mutual aid, and respect for the seasons. Traditional Savoyard costumes were worn on special occasions.
